Campaign 3, E11: “Chasing Nightmares”

Colonialism: Costumes based on late 19th century to early 20th century British explorer stories.
Flashing Lights: Lanterns carried in dark scenes throughout, camera flash at 1:11, and fire effects at the end.
Fire: Fire effect on ending logo.

Repetition and whispers: Opening starts with ghostly whispers repeating the same words over and over before the lyrics start.

Self-harm: A character draws their own blood to power a Blood Hunter ability.
Monstrous transformation (including sound effects): Several characters transform into monsters, or stretch their features in unnatural ways. Includes bone stretching and breaking and facial features deforming. This will be recurring in the series.
Bone breaking: As part of the monstrous transformation.
Explosion & Falling Debris: A building explodes and large chunks fall near and onto the party, knocking someone out.

Violent deaths: Characters are rapidly killed through being crushed by a rock, having their head crushed, and being turned to ash.
Alcohol: Characters shown playing drinking games in a tavern.
Gun: A character is shown wielding a gun.
Blood and gore: A monster is stomped to death. Heads are smashed together violently. A monster is killed by bursting through its head. A wound gushes blood in a character's side.

Flashing lights: Spell effects and fire animation. All colors, mostly yellow or green on a dark background.
Nudity: A nude painting is shown waist up from the back in the background. Later monster genitals are found.
Vomit: A character is briefly shown vomiting in the background.
Torture: A shirtless teenager is briefly shown being tortured.
Undead: Undead warriors are briefly shown.

Death and Grief: Characters discuss two attacks that they failed to stop and the people who died in them.
